BPI Auctions finalise Winscombe furniture retirement sale

Retirement is one of the key reasons why businesses choose to auction their assets, as it allows companies to raise substantial amounts of revenue and dispose of all equipment within a matter of weeks. When the Winscombe Furniture senior leadership team decided to begin the process of closing the company due to their impending retirement, they appointed BPI Auctions to handle the sale of equipment and excess stock.

The auction went live with 290 separate lots, including:

●    SCM 240 3 Axis CNC Router
●    Weinig Profimat 22N Head Planer Moulder
●    SCM CL110 K/RT Wide Belt Sander
●    Heli FG20 2000KG Fork Truck

The auction went live between the 31st March and 13th April 2022 and saw over 300 registrants. The total sales value reached expected Budgeted gross revenues and was turned round in just 21 days.

A representative for Winscombe Furniture said: “Sincere thanks to James, Richard and the team for settling my concerns over our auction and a great result on the day. I will be ever grateful that I picked BPI auctions to deal with the closure of my business. Thank you for all your hard work”.

James Mellars, Key Account Director at BPI Auctions said: “We were thrilled to be appointed by the Managing Director of Winscombe Furniture to support and manage the sale of the business equipment in just three weeks. We wish the team all the best with their retirement”.
