BPI recently managed the disposal of the remaining assets of a kitchen manufacturing business in Brighton, acting on behalf of a finance company following the business closure. The sale included high-spec Felder machinery such as the 2024 Format-4 Profit H150 CNC Machining Centre, Format-4 M-Motion Edgebander, Format-4 Kappa 550E E-Motion Sliding Table Panel Saw, the 2021 RL 300 Dust Extractor with ducting, the 2024 FW850 Wide Belt Sander, and 2023 Planer Thicknesser and Surface Planer models.
Over 750 bids were placed across seven lots, and the sale achieved more than £140,000 for machines initially valued at £100,000, an increase of over 40%. The assets were lotted on site in a single day by Nathan, Associate Director, and the sale was live for two weeks, including the Christmas period. By negotiating with the landlord to keep the assets on site, we were able to reduce costs for the finance company while carefully managing tight collection schedules.
