The closure of Lake Fabrications Ltd. marked the end of an established fabrication and engineering business, with the company choosing BPI to oversee the sale of its complete workshop contents. The auction catalogue included standout assets such as a 2020 Ajan CNC Plasma, 2020 Morgan Rushworth PBS CNC Press Brake, 2020 Morgan Rushworth HSR 60/215 Hydraulic Section Rolling Machine, 2020 Morgan Rushworth HST 125 Hydraulic Steelworker, and a 2003 Hyster 2.50 Gas Forklift, alongside additional fabrication equipment.

The sale attracted nearly 200 registered bidders from across the UK, reflecting strong market demand for quality fabrication machinery. Competitive bidding drove the final result to around 30% above expectations and significantly higher than a dealer offer received prior to auction, leaving the vendor delighted with the outcome.

BPI’s Industrial Specialist, Richard Travis, catalogued and produced video footage of the assets, while the wider team supported coordination with buyers and logistics. The team also assisted with a machine mover on site to ensure safe, efficient collections. As part of the project, BPI also managed the clearance of outstanding finance on several machines, ensuring the vendor could exit the business without complications. All assets were catalogued, sold, and cleared in just four weeks, with the auction live for two weeks and closing successfully at the end of August.
