King of the concrete jungle up for grabs
The world’s highest capacity mobile concrete batching plant is among a number of high quality used concrete production and recycling items on offer.
The Elkon Mobile Master-150 Elephant is the most powerful plant of its kind available. Similar machines have been used in a variety of construction projects, from Dubai’s latest icon the Royal Atlantis Resort and Residences, to major road-building schemes.
The plant boasts a powerful twin shaft mixer and ice scale, enabling concrete to be mixed at the desired temperature, plus a micro-silica dosing system to add special properties. The hourly ready mix concrete production rate is up to 150m3 – the highest capacity for a mobile plant.
The automated aggregate feeding system means the plant is completely mobile; in fact, the plant can be pulled by one truck trailer and can be installed in just two or three days.
Also offered for sale is an Elkon Master-100 Lion mobile batching plant. Like the Elephant, it can be installed in a confined space in just one or two days and is economical to transport, on a single trailer. Easy to maintain and with a low maintenance cost, the Lion is equipped with high capacity aggregate, cement and water weigh hoppers, suitable for its twin shaft mixer.
Two Elkon concrete recycling plants are also going under the online hammer. These provide cost savings for users at the same time as protecting the environment. Designed to be installed next to batching plants, the cost of transporting residual concrete to another site is eradicated – washing and decomposing allow it to be recycled for use in concrete production.
The auction for all four items ends at 2 pm on March 26. Bids start at £20,000 for a recycling plant, rising to £75,000 for the Elephant. The equipment is to be collected from Aberdeenshire.
