I'm interested in running an auction what do I do next?

Contact our office and one of our colleagues will arrange an appointment to visit and assess your assets, or carry out a desktop appraisal. We’ll then guide you through the best route to market.

What are my assets worth?

After completing a full appraisal, we will give you a realistic price range, from worst-case to best-case, based on the condition of the items, current circumstances, and your required timescale.

How will my auction get listed?

Depending on your assets and requirements, we can either handle the full sale for you, support you on site while you prepare it, or provide templates so you can list the items yourself.

If I only have a few items to sell can you help?

Yes, we run monthly collective auctions which are a combination of several vendors’ items grouped together in relevant industry sectors. Depending on the value and quantity, we can allocate a few items to their own sale.

What will I be charged for selling my assets?

A consignment fee ranging from 0% to 30% will be deducted from the final hammer price depending on the value of the sale.

How do I know the buyer has paid for my assets?

Buyers can pay by bank transfer or secure online payment. We check payments hourly and send a confirmation email to all parties once payment has cleared.

How do I get paid for my goods?

The sale will be invoiced as soon as it ends, and buyers are expected to pay within 48 hours. The balance will be paid to the vendor by bank transfer 14 days after the sale ends.

What happens if some of my assets don’t meet the reserve price?

Some lots sell above their reserve, which can help cover those that don’t perform as well. If items don’t sell, they can be re-listed in a later sale to attract a different audience.

I’m not VAT registered will you have to charge VAT on my lots?

If you are not VAT registered we will not charge VAT on your lots.

Do I need to pay VAT on goods that leave the country?

If you are exporting we will require the following: 1) Proof of payment from overseas; 2) Proof of export; 3) An overseas address. When we have received this we will refund the VAT back to you bank account.

How does the auction work?

We operate a timed online auction platform designed to replicate the experience of a live auction. If a bid is placed within the last three minutes, the closing time is extended by a further three minutes to allow other bidders to respond..

Why do I have to register for each auction even though I have an account?

Every auction has different terms and conditions. Registering for an auction confirms that you’ve read and accepted them.

What are the delivery charges/shipping fees?
